June 1 -- Ladies the wait is over. After nearly a year on hiatus, HBO's popular seriesSex and the City returns with new boyfriends, new fashions and plenty of the same old concerns.

Fans of the comedy, now in its fourth season, will be pleased to know redhead Miranda's (Cynthia Nixon) sweet bartender beau will make an appearance.

"Steve's back, and I think that Steve and Miranda are kind of attached to each other but they have a lot of problems," said Nixon. "I basically think that they have a lot to learn from each other So, whether they're romantically linked or not, I think that she teaches him to be ambitious and he teaches her to relax a little bit."

As for the rest of the four leading ladies: Charlotte (Kristin Davis) must deal with her husband Trey. The two split at the end of last season, and their relationship was left hanging. Samantha (Kim Cattrall) finds herself with a crush on a priest, and Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, is again coping with being a single woman in New York City. The catch this time she's turning 35.

Parker admits she won't be watching the Sunday night premiere on HBO. She has a good reason her husband Matthew Broderick co-hosts the Tony Awards. He's also a nominee for his role in The Producers.

She says she's not giving him any advice, despite her current spot in the limelight. "He's won two Tony awards already, so, he's such a lovely, decent person, he's so gracious. He doesn't need any tips from me," said Parker.

Broadway's Record Season

Regardless of what happens at Sunday night's Tony Awards, Broadway already has plenty to cheer about.

Thanks to hits like The Producers, the theater district took in $665 million for the 2000-2001 season, its most successful season to date.

The season has benefited from some Hollywood influence. Film-inspired shows like the Producers and The Full Monty debuted this year.
