Chart Watch: Destiny's Child Survives Janet

May 9 -- TOP 10: To no one's surprise at all, Survivor, Destiny's Child's follow-up to the multiplatinum The Writing's on the Wall, beat all comers out of the gate, selling almost 665,000 copies at the top of the charts. The debut pushes Janet Jackson's All For You down a notch in its second week, where it sells a respectable 310,000.

Coming in at No. 3 is Now That's What I Call Music 6, selling another 163,000. Tim McGraw's Set This Circus Down follows, with sales of more than 117,000, and Stevie Nicks' latest, Trouble in Shangri-La, bows at No. 5, selling 109,000 copies.

Popstars, the debut album from made-for-TV band Eden's Crush, has its own debut at No. 6, picked up by almost 99,000 fans. Tupac Shakur's Until the End of Time drops to No. 7, selling 95,000 copies, followed by Shaggy's Hot Shot at No. 8, which sells another 84,000. Double Wide from Uncle Kracker sells 66,000 copies at No. 9, and mopping things up is Case's Open Letter, which sells 64,000 copies at No. 10.

NOTABLE DEBUTS: After the new albums in the Top 10, Point of Grace's Free to Fly bows the highest, selling more than 43,000 copies at No. 20. At No. 48, J.T. Money's Blood, Sweat, & Years beats out Montgomery Gentry's Carrying On, which comes in at No. 49. And the soundtrack to the new Sly Stallone film, Driven, skids into No. 124, selling almost 11,000 copies.

MILESTONES: This time next week, Janet Jackson will have sold more than a million copies of All for You in the United States — in all likelihood, Destiny's Child's Survivor will have hit that same number, and Dido's No Angel will have crossed the 3 million sales mark. Additionally, the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack crossed the million mark this week, as did Dream's debut, It Was All a Dream.

BOTTOM FEEDING: This week's No. 200: Rage Against the Machine's Renegades, which sells 5,817 copies to earn the distinction.
