April 25 -- The next film from The Sixth Sense director M. Night Shyamalan may be full of twists and turns, but his signing again with Walt Disney Pictures is not surprising.

His latest project, another supernatural thriller, has been snapped up by Walt Disney Pictures for an unspecified eight-figure amount, Variety reports.

Shyamalan's last two films for Disney, The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, have grossed $900 million worldwide. The Oscar-nominated writer-director was paid $3 million for his Sense spec script, followed up by a $10 million deal to write and direct Unbreakable, which included a record-setting $5 million for the superhero-themed film's spec script.

Details of the new film, which is called Signs, are being kept top-secret, as were details on Shyamalan's previous twisty ventures, but Variety reports that it concerns the mysterious appearance of 500-foot circles and lines that appear carved into the crops of a Philadelphia farm family.

The Philly-based Shyamalan set his last two films in Philadelphia as well.
