April 17 -- Big Screen for Lil' Bow WowFourteen-year-old rapper Lil' Bow Wow will make a big jump to the big screen to star in Like Mike. In the script, written by former Source Entertainment president Michael Elliot, the character played by the young rapper finds a magical pair of sneakers once worn by former NBA superstar Michael Jordan. Without becoming larger, the teenager becomes a basketball phenomenon and enters the NBA. "The inspiration was Bow Wow, who I met on the set [of MTV's Carmen adaptation]," Elliot told Reuters. "He loves basketball, loves Michael Jordan, and he's an exceptional basketball player. It's every kid's dream to play in the NBA, and it's not like Big, where he becomes a man. In this case, it's more fun if he stays a kid."

Drummer's Injury Derails Papa Roach Tour

Best New Artist Grammy nominee Papa Roach was forced to cancel the remainder of its Raid the Nation tour with Fear Factory and Alien Ant Farm because of an injury to drummer David Buckner's wrist. Following the band's April 22 show in Toronto, Buckner will rest the hand to get ready for more shows beginning May 12 in Las Vegas and Ozzfest this summer. "This is a huge disappointment for us," he said in a statement released by the band's publicist. "This condition is something that I've been struggling with since last year and I hope to have this diagnosed, treated, and be back to one hundred percent before Ozzfest."
