ER's Kingston Welcomes Baby

March 30 -- ER's Dr. Elizabeth Corday had a poignant medical drama of her own this week, as actress Alex Kingston gave birth to a daughter.
The British actress, whose pregnancy was written into the show, delivered a baby girl weighing 6 pounds, 11 ounces, on Wednesday. Her publicist told The Associated Press that both mom and baby are "happy and healthy."
Kingston, 38, is married to German freelance reporter Florian Haertel. This is their first child.
Kingston's ER castmate, Ming-Na, delivered a daughter in November.
