Parton Family Disputes Mom's Estate

Dolly Parton and nine of her brothers and sisters are headed to court in a dispute over the competency of their 77-year-old mother, according to The Associated Press. They filed a suit in November in Sevier County, Tenn., to have one of them appointed to handle the estate of Avie Parton, because they say she is showing signs of dementia. Her cash and property are valued at around $1 million. Two siblings twins Freida and Floyd Parton say that their mother is capable of handling her own affairs. No date has been set for a trial.
