Practice star Camryn Manheim received an early birthday present Tuesday, when she delivered her first child just one day before she turned 40.
Manheim's son, a baby boy named Milo Jacob, weighed 9 pounds, 2 ounces. The actress, who portrays a hard-hitting lawyer on the ABC drama, is resting comfortably with Milo, according to a statement from her publicist.
The rep refused to speak about the baby's father, whose identity has not been revealed. She also declined questions from reporters regarding Manheim's love life.
Manheim announced her pregnancy in November, but had apparently tried to fool reporters by frequently changing her due date. Sometimes she said her baby would arrive in April, while claiming to others that she was due in early March.
Manheim is not the only Practice star to have her real-life pregnancy written into the show's story line. Co-star Kelli Williams gave birth to her second child, daughter Sarame Jane, on Feb. 3.
