Geldof Granted Custody of Yates' Child

"Live Aid" producer Bob Geldof was awarded custody of 4-year-old Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily, the daughter of his ex-wife, Paula Yates, and INXS singer Michael Hutchence. Britain's High Court ruled Monday that the child remain in the care of Geldof. She has stayed in Geldof's care, with her three half sisters, since September, when Yates was found dead in her home in London. Hutchence committed suicide in Australia three years ago. The late INXS leader's half-sister, Tina Shorr, was seeking custody of Heavenly, saying she would be better off without the publicity surrounding Geldof.
