December 12 -- The 6-year-old "SnoCore" tour will double its reach in its next edition, splitting into the "SnoCore Icicle Ball" headed by Les Claypool's Flying Frog Brigade and "SnoCore Rock" which will include Fear Factory, Kittie, and Slaves on Dope.

Claypool, moonlighting from his day job as bassist for funk-rock outfit Primus, has performed gigs with his new project through the summer and fall.

Canadian metal band Kittie, made up of four teenage girls, made a splash on last summer's "Ozzfest" tour. The band's Paperdoll EP, its follow-up to last year's Spit, hits stores today.

The Icicle Ball, which also features co-headliners Galactic and openers Lake Trout, kicks off Jan. 17 in Las Vegas and circles the country, hitting a total of 29 cities before wrapping Feb. 23 in Atlanta.

SnoCore Rock gets rolling two days later Jan. 19 in Las Vegas and cuts its own path nationwide before a Feb. 17 finale in Asbury Park, N.J. Also along for the ride are the Union Underground and Boy Hits Car.

Advance tickets for the most shows on the two outings will go on sale Thursday at tickets.artistdirect.com. The following day, tickets for all shows will be available through ArtistDirect and Ticketmaster.
