November 13 -- Not all KISS fans want to give the band a hand. A Michigan woman has sued the group, alleging that her hand was injured during a May 8 concert.

According to the Grand Rapids Press, 27-year-old Carly Miller filed a suit last week against KISS, the Van Andel Arena, and three companies promoting the concert.

The suit alleges that during the band's final encore, "Rock and Roll All Nite," guitarist Paul Stanley smashed his guitar and hurled it into the crowd. Miller's fingers allegedly became entangled in the strings, and she was pulled out of her third row seat and dragged across two rows of chairs by fans trying to get hold of the souvenir.

"It hit her hand, and people were fighting over pieces of the guitar," Miller's attorney, Jason Barrix, told the paper. "Somehow this guitar string got wrapped around her finger."

Barrix claims that he and his client have tried to settle the suit to no avail.

"All five defendants have their own insurance companies, and they're all saying they're not at fault," he said. "We've tried to resolve it with them."

Miller temporarily lost any feeling in her right middle finger and has a permanent scar. The suit states she suffered permanent nerve damage, hospitalization, lost wages, and has a slew of hospital bills to content with.

"Nobody around her tried to help her," said her attorney. "It was like a feeding frenzy for the guitar. And those people were like piranha trying to get the souvenir."
