November 8 -- Outdoorsy model-actress Lauren Hutton was released from a Las Vegas hospital Monday and is in good condition after undergoing extensive surgery for injuries she sustained in a serious motorcycle crash last month.

Hutton is recuperating at a private location in Vegas, her publicist told USA Today. The 55-year-old Hutton suffered a concussion, a broken right wrist, a fractured sternum, and multiple cuts and bruises when she went off the road Oct. 21 during a celebrity motorcycle ride in the Nevada desert.

"I do not expect this to change her active lifestyle," rep Joe Quenqua told the paper. "This is a woman who dog-sleds and scuba-dives."

Hutton was in serious but stable condition after undergoing seven hours of surgery Oct. 26. According to a hospital spokesman at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, she had a lot of healing ahead of her.

The gap-toothed star had been participating in a motorcycle ride with the Guggenheim Motorcycle Club, which includes celeb members Jeremy Irons and Dennis Hopper, to celebrate the planned opening of a Guggenheim museum next spring at the Venetian Resort on the Las Vegas strip. She was wearing a helmet when she crashed.

Hutton has appeared on dozens of fashion magazine covers and was considered to be one of the original supermodels. She also made waves in films like American Gigolo and The Gambler.
