November 3 -- Two volatile bands, each fronted by a pair of brothers. It looks like Oasis and the Black Crowes may hit the road together next summer.

On Thursday, the bands' respective managers announced that they are discussing the possibility of a co-headlining tour.

"If we can work out the details, the tour will mark the pairing of America and England's greatest rock and roll bands," Black Crowes manager Pete Angelus said in a statement. "God help us all."

Both are bands that have seen their record sales decline in recent years, but while the Black Crowes, led by Chris and Rich Robinson, remain a consistent live show, the feuding of Liam and Noel Gallagher has led many to believe that the days of Oasis are numbered. Oasis' recent album, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, was a commercial flop in the United States, both Gallagher marriages fell apart, and the other two founding members left the band.

The Crowes, on the other hand, teamed with former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page last year for a successful U.S. tour and a double-live album.

Oasis will release its own double-live album, Familiar to Millions, later this month, while the Black Crowes are currently recording with producer Don Was. Their latest project is due for release next spring.
