October 26 -- Model-actress Lauren Hutton is now in serious but stable condition at a Las Vegas hospital after undergoing seven hours of surgery for multiple injuries she suffered in a motorcycle crash Saturday.

"She still has a lot of recovery ahead of her," Rick Plummer, a spokesman for the University Medical Center told The Associated Press Wednesday. In addition to her leg injuries, the 55-year-old Hutton suffered a concussion, a broken right wrist, a fractured sternum, and multiple cuts and bruises, according to a hospital rep.

Hutton was listed in serious condition from the time she was admitted Saturday afternoon until she was upgraded Wednesday.

The star had been participating in a motorcycle ride with the Guggenheim Motorcycle Club, which includes celeb members Jeremy Irons and Dennis Hopper, to celebrate the planned opening of a Guggenheim museum next spring at the Venetian Resort on the Las Vegas strip. She was wearing a helmet when she went off the road in the desert near Lake Mead National Park.

Hutton was airlifted to the hospital on Saturday from the accident site, which was about 30 miles east of the Nevada city, according to a nursing supervisor.
