Mom Dishes on Ellen's New Girl

Oct. 2 -- In true Hollywood style, Ellen DeGeneres isn’t spending much time alone after her high-profile breakup with girlfriend Anne Heche.

The comedienne’s mom revealed on Entertainment Tonight that Ellen’s already found someone to take the place of her blond ex.

Betty DeGeneres told the syndicated show that Ellen’s new G-friend is “a very nice girl,” and that the new couple is “taking it very slow.”

The celeb’s mom didn’t reveal anything else about the mystery woman, except to say that Ellen met her “by accident” and that the former sitcom star definitely “wasn’t looking” to meet someone new.

Ellen and Anne announced their split six weeks ago. Since then, the tabs have claimed that both actresses are keeping company with someone new, although no names have been given out in either case.

And speaking of high-profile splits, last week, exes Melissa Etheridge and Julie Cypher made their first public appearance together since announcing their breakup to honor David Crosby at the Dream Foundation Gala in Santa Monica, Calif. Crosby, of course, is the rehabbed rocker who fathered the pair’s two children prior to their split.
