Helen Hunt Separates From Husband

L O S   A N G E L E S, Aug. 5 -- Oscar- and Emmy-winning actress Helen Hunthas separated from her husband, actor Hank Azaria.

Hunt, who won 1998’s best actress Oscar for As Good As ItGets and multiple Emmys for her comedic lead character in MadAbout You, separated from her husband of one year several monthsago, said publicist Steven Huvane.

A message left for Huvane after business hours Friday was notimmediately returned. However, he told Entertainment Tonightthe separation was mutual.

‘Good Friends’“They remain good friends,” Azaria’s publicist, StanRosenfield, told the syndicated television show.

Azaria, whose movie credits include Godzilla and Birdcage, married Hunt on July 17, 1999. They had been togethersince 1994.

He also had a recurring role on Mad About You as Nate thedog walker and is well known to fans of the animated TV seriesThe Simpsons as the voice of a number of characters.

Hunt is slated to star opposite Tom Hanks in the upcoming movieCastaway and opposite Mel Gibson in What Women Want.
