Tom Sizemore Arrested for Drugs in Bakersfield

Actor Tom Sizemore is still on probation for a drug rap and was arrested again.

BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. -- May 8, 2007— -- Actor Tom Sizemore, still onprobation for a drug rap, was arrested Tuesday for investigation ofpossessing methamphetamine as he sat in a car outside a Bakersfieldhotel, police said.

Sizemore, 45, of Calabasas, was arrested after drugs were foundin his car outside the Four Points Sheraton hotel, Detective GregTerry said.

Officers were called to the hotel at around 7:30 a.m. by areport that a man had challenged an employee to fight while tryingto check in, Terry said.

The man, believed to be an associate of Sizemore's, had gotteninto a dispute over whether he had a reservation, the detectivesaid.

Jason Salcido, 33, of Whittier, was found to be on parole andofficers found he was carrying a "narcotic smoking pipe," Terrysaid.

Officers learned that he and Sizemore were together and sawSizemore sitting in a 2004 Ford Mustang in the hotel parking lot.

"He displayed symptoms of being under the influence," Terrysaid.

A search of the car turned up two bags of suspectedmethamphetamine and "some additional narcotics smoking pipes,"Terry said.

Sizemore was arrested and booked at the Kern County Jail forinvestigation of possession of methamphetamine, being under theinfluence of a controlled substance and possession of narcoticparaphernalia, the detective said.

Salcido was booked for investigation of possession ofmethamphetamine, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, being underthe influence of a controlled substance, parole violation anddisturbing the peace by challenging to fight, Terry said.

Police couldn't immediately say what Salcido was on parole for.It was also not known whether he had retained an attorney.

Calls to representatives of Sizemore were not immediatelyreturned.

Sizemore, who appeared in the movies "Saving Private Ryan" and"Black Hawk Down," was convicted of methamphetamine possession inOctober 2004.

His probation was revoked the next year after he acknowledgedusing a prosthetic device to fake a drug test and failing to bechecked for drugs every three days.
