— -- Nigella Lawson is moving forward—with very little from her past.

After enduring a painful split from Charles Saatchi last year, she reportedly only asked for one thing -- her beloved kitchen items, Vogue UK reported.

In the magazine's cover story, writer Fiona Golfar wrote: "Nigella adores the indulgences in life -- good food, good face cream, good bed linen. But she's not [spoiled]. The very fact she walked away from her marriage without asking for anything other than the contents of her kitchen is testament to that."

In June, photos emerged of Saatchi grabbing Lawson by the throat. Though he first downplayed what was happening, calling the argument "a playful tiff," the two split shortly thereafter.

A painful trial forced them to work together, however, especially after their former assistants accused Lawson of drug use. ("I've never been a drug addict," she said after.)

Now, she's starting a new chapter -- both personally and professionally. After agreeing to pose for the magazine without makeup, a prospect that "terrified" her, she opened up about what's next for her career-wise.

"I love what I do, but there are other parts of my brain that I haven't flexed in a professional way. I do sometimes think that I've let the more analytical part of my brain slump slightly," she told the magazine. "I do like writing about food, but there's so much that interests me ... I've been working -- in a cottage-industry way -- on an app, which, if it works, could be deeply thrilling."
