— -- Steve Harvey was joined yesterday by other comedic legends D.L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer for a reunion of the "Kings of Comedy" and to pay tribute to the late, great Bernie Mac.

Mac was honored with his own day in Chicago on Monday, Nov. 14, by the city's mayor, Rahm Emanuel.

Harvey posted video of the touching tribute.

"Remembering and honoring Bernie...today is his day!" the talk show host wrote about Mac, who died in 2008 at the age of 50.

In the short clip, Harvey breaks down with emotion.

"Bernie was a Chicagoan through and through," Harvey tells the fans. "This is why the city sent this over," he added, holding up a proclamation.

Bernie Mac’s wife Rhonda McCullough Gilmore and his daughter Je’Neice McCullough were in attendance as the special day was announced.

Harvey encouraged everyone to do what Mac would have done: mark down the occasion and "find the humor no matter what." Watch the clip above.
