How Zooey Deschanel Kept Her Pregnancy From 'New Girl' Cast
That sneaky "New Girl!"
— -- Zooey Deschanel's character wore a pretty unique outfit called a swuit -- a hybrid suit and sweatshirt -- on Tuesday night's "New Girl."
That fashion choice was perfect for the pregnant star, who at the time of filming wasn't ready to share his pregnancy news with her cast and co-stars.
"It was really comfortable, and I was pregnant at the time, but I couldn't tell anybody, so I was happy to be wearing comfortable clothes," she told People magazine of how she hid the pregnancy from cast members she's known for years such as Max Greenfield and Jake Johnson.
The actress, 35, who's engaged to Jacob Pechenik, the father of her child, told the magazine about how her diet has changed since she found out she was carrying.
"I'm used to being able to go long periods of time without eating," she said. "Now I'll wake up hungry sometimes, and I'm like, 'What? I've never woken up hungry in my life!'"
