Former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee says he once weighed over 300 pounds. The self-described chronic overeater who hated to exercise made it his mission to get healthy and lost more than 100 pounds after being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2002. The condition, which affects more than 18 million people in the United States, is closely related to being overweight or obese. Huckabee, pictured at right in the 2005 Little Rock Marathon, now tries to run four to five days a week. He also wrote a book to help others get on track, "Quit Digging Your Grave with a Knife and Fork: A 12-Stop Program to End Bad Habits and Begin a Healthy Lifestyle." (AP Photos)
