Everglades National Park in Florida is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States -- truly a wetland wonder! There are 156 miles of canoe/kayak and walking trails and 47 designated campsites. The American alligator -- also known as "the king of the Everglades" is a common site throughout the fresh water marshes of the park.
