This strapless, taffeta cocktail dress from Piccione from the Alfred Angelo Collection has a rhinestone and crystal beaded belt. Rycroft loved the short look, which Bratten said is a trend for 2010.
"It's almost sort of like a wedding cake," Bratten said. "A fun, trendy, flirty cocktail look." It would be a great fit for a beach wedding, or for a city wedding or at-home wedding.
"The key to this is great legs," Bratten said, advising anyone considering a short dress to "think about your legs and your shoes."
These designs will set the trends for the upcoming season of gowns, and you'll soon see these same cuts, styles and accents from many designers in an array of price points in salons across the country.
