Judging Procedure:
A panel of judges will be selected at the sole discretion of Sponsors. Entries will be judged based on the following criteria: quality of reasons explained why essay subject deserves breakfast in bed; potential on-air appeal to Good Morning America audience; compelling nature of essay. The entry with the highest score will be selected as winner, pending verification. In the event of a tie the entry with the highest score in the potential for on-air appeal category will be deemed the Winner.

In the event winner is deemed ineligible, fails to comply with contest procedures, or is not available to participate as specified, then first runner-up will be selected to participate, time permitting.

Prize:
One grand prize will be awarded to the essay subject (Winner), consisting of a visit from Chef Emeril Lagasse to winner's home to prepare and serve breakfast in bed to the Winner in a segment to be featured on Good Morning America on or about February 14, 2006. Winner must agree to be home for the above visit or prize will be forfeited without further compensation. Selection of visit date is at Sponsor's sole discretion. Approximate retail value of prize is $100. All other expenses not specified are the sole responsibility of Winner.

Winner will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, release and indemnification within seven days of notification of winning. All taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

All expenses not specifically provided for herein are the winner's sole responsibility. Some restrictions may apply. Federal, state and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner, who will receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the final actual value of any prize valued at $600 or more.

Winners are not entitled to exchange or transfer prizes or to obtain cash or other substitutes, but Sponsor in its sole discretion may substitute prizes of equal or greater value.

If won by a minor, prize will be awarded in parent's or guardian's name.

Prize is subject to availability. Sponsor is not responsible for cancellation or preemption of show, for the inability of Emeril to appear at the Winner's home or for other circumstances that make it impractical or impossible to fulfill these elements of the prize. Neither Emeril's appearance at the home of the winner nor winner's appearance on the show has an approximate retail value; if it should become impractical or impossible to fulfill either element Sponsor's only obligation will be to provide the remainder of prize.
