Dec. 15, 2005 — -- Jennifer Aniston isn't asking for much this Christmas -- just world peace.

"I want peace on Earth, people," Aniston told "Good Morning America" today, laughing. "Is that wrong?"

This year may be one Aniston wants to forget, between her divorce from Brad Pitt, rampant rumors in the tabloids, and a topless photo scandal. But as 2006 approaches, Aniston is reveling for the holidays and hoping for happiness for others.

"Everyone that I love and I know is happy and healthy and everyone that I don't know," Aniston said when asked about her ideal Christmas gift.

Holidays growing up were steeped in Greek traditions for Aniston and she said she still felt connections to her heritage.

"You know, I just feel it," Aniston said. "It's just sort of in your blood. I don't think you can really pinpoint what it is. It's just in your blood, isn't it?"

Aniston took on her own Greek traditions one Christmas when she tried to make her grandmother's spanakopita and baklava.

"Little did I know that it would take as long -- eight to nine hours -- and I started at like eight o'clock at night. I meant, it's literally from scratch. There's no store-bought."

This Christmas, Aniston may take some time to go to the movies. Her film "Rumor Has It," costarring Shirley MacLaine, Mark Ruffalo and Kevin Costner, opens on Christmas Day.

In the movie, Aniston plays a woman who finds out her family may have been the inspiration for the book and film "The Graduate," the classic story of young adult angst where the main character begins an affair with the wife of his father's business partner and falls in love with her teenage daughter.

Aniston said that in real life she sees nothing wrong with women dating younger men.

"I think it's very common. I think it's great, though," Aniston said. "Twenty-one is pushing it though. I'm never going to turn a little 21 sweet thing away, but Jesus!"

MacLaine's character has an affair with a younger man in "Rumor Has It." Aniston said she felt a special connection with the actress.

"She's fantastic and everything that you would imagine and more," Aniston said. "We had this bizarre connection, dare I say past life connection."

Aniston said she believed in past lives.

"I mean, it can't just be here, right? We can't just be it," she said. "I'm very fascinated with the whole idea of past lives and, you know, what does it mean."
