Brian Karczewski of Hemet, Calif., captured this image of Tuesday's early morning lunar eclipse. Dr. Tony Phillips of Spaceweather.com said the photo shows the moon slipping completely into the heart of Earth's shadow. "The blue color is real. It is caused by Earth's ozone layer, which gives our planet's shadow a turquoise-colored fringe," Phillips said. (Brian Karczewski/Spaceweather.com)
