The president shares a laugh with "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno off the set in Burbank, California. Obama's decision to appear on the show on March 19, 2009, was frowned upon by some who thought he should have been in Washington paying attention to the economic crisis and the unfolding news about AIG executive bonuses. The president faced more fire after a gaffe he made on the show when talking about his poor bowling skills. "I bowled a 129," he told Leno. "That's very good, Mr. President," Leno said sarcastically. But then came the foot-in-mouth moment: "It's like the Special Olympics or something," the president said. (Pete Souza/The White House)
