March 3, 2006 — -- If you're ever in Los Angeles, trend forecaster Jane Buckingham says, you can find the celebrities buying the hottest fashions at Intuition, working out at Emerson Hall, and eating Italian food at Il Sole, where Lindsay Lohan celebrated her birthday last year. But during the Oscars, things get even more fabulous than usual.

When it comes to spotting big trends for the spring and beyond, Oscar season in Hollywood is where things begin, Buckingham says. Here's what the stars will be enjoying this weekend.

Nonsurgical Face-Lifts

The first stop for the rich and famous getting ready for the Oscars is an appointment with skin guru Kate Somerville for the latest in anti-aging treatments.

This year, ladies are lining up for her nonsurgical face-lift, a process where infrared light heats the dermis, creating natural collagen production and resulting in beautiful star-quality skin.

Somerville is known for helping clients like Oscar nominee and "Desperate Housewives" star Felicity Huffman, Jessica Alba and Sharon Stone look their best.

Lexus Hybrids

Forget those staid limos! George Clooney will be showing up to the red carpet this year in an environmentally "chic" Lexus, the RH-400, a luxury hybrid sport utility vehicle.

And, it's a good thing that stars are chauffeured to the Oscars because they all will be drinking Red Carpet Martinis -- grape vodka, pomegranate juice and Grand Marnier. This $22 drink is available at The Four Seasons Hotel, where 50 nominees and presenters will be staying this weekend even though many of them live in the Los Angeles area.

Cameras and Phones Costing $20,000 Each

What makes these phones and cameras so expensive? They have your initials engraved in them -- with diamonds.

The female Academy Award nominees and some selected male nominees will receive the $20,000 Motorola Pebble Phone. They'll look very stylish when they call people to say they've won or tell them which parties they're going to.

Each Best Actress nominee will receive the $20,000 Kodak EasyShare V570, which has been personalized with their initials in 75 brilliant-cut diamonds from Kwiat. The EasyShare is also the world's first dual-lens digital camera.
