"I have always been a very physical person and it is a team sport and the dress up really fascinated me. The performance part of it attracted me. I loved roller skating as a kid. It quickly turned into an addiction because it is extremely competitive and the social aspect is great. It speaks to both parts of my life, " says Bluebonnet Plague/Goldman. When asked if there is a difference between her daytime persona and Bluebonnet Plague, "I feel very integrated between Meghan and Bluebonnet Plague. It feels one in the same to me. Superheroes have a by-day by-night persona too. We're a little bit superhero maybe."

By day, 39-year-old Mark Branch is an aerospace engineer for NASA. But when night falls, he becomes DJ Scientific and hits the turn tables at high-energy clubs.

Some employees worry that their supervisors or colleagues won't approve of their outside pursuits. Career experts say though that no employer owns you 24/7. Unless your side job relates to your career, you are under no obligation to reveal your life outside of work. You should be fully aware of the terms of your employment agreement, but in many cases it is better to keep your moonlighting private. It is not appropriate to share all of the details of your free time with your colleagues and supervisors.
