    Miley Cyrus is starring in a new movie, "The Last Song," based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks. The 17-year-old told Parade magazine that she's ready to move on from her Disney Channel show "Hannah Montana" and explore new challenges. "I'm older now, I have an opinion, I have my own taste," she told the magazine. This will be the last season of "Hannah Montana."

    Miley Cyrus appeared onstage May 3, 2008 at the Disney Channel Games Concert in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The then 15-year-old star refrained from commenting on the previous week's Vanity Fair controversy, but did thank fans for their support. The singer-actress apologized to fans April 27, 2008 for photographs taken by famed photographer Annie Liebovitz for Vanity Fair magazine, which Cyrus said "embarrassed" her.
