Mary Senger's Overnight Coffee Cake
A Recipe From the Best Block in America
Cream oleo/margarine, white sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs one at a time and mix. Combine the flour with the remaining dry ingredients. Add half of the flour mixture and half of the buttermilk to the sugar/egg mixture and mix. Add the remaining flour mixture, buttermilk and mix until combined. Spread into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
Prepare topping by combining the following ingredients in a bowl. Sprinkle topping over the batter in the pan. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. In the morning, preheat oven to 350 F. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Serves 8 to 10.
