June 9, 2004 -- -- "Good Morning America" will bring viewers the first look at "Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs," the new exhibit of priceless objects from the 3,300-year-old tomb of the Egyptian boy pharaoh.

Don't miss ABC News' "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, June 14 when we give you the first look at the new King Tut exhibit

The exhibit opens Thursday at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Over the next two years, it will visit museums in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Chicago; and Philadelphia.

King Tut's intact burial chamber was discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter, an English Egyptologist. The tomb escaped looting because it was hidden by construction for another pharaoh.

Tut's treasures first toured the United States from 1976 to 1979, when more than 8 million people saw it.

More than 50 objects from his tomb and dozens of objects from other pharaohs' tombs will be on display this time around. Viewers will not see the mask that was the symbol of the first tour. Egyptian law prevents it from leaving the country.

The first look at the exhibit will come on Tuesday's "Good Morning America." Other media will be allowed into the exhibit Wednesday; it opens to the public on Thursday.
