Which kicker holds the record for most field goals in a championship game?
On Jan. 9, 2012, the 2012 Allstate BCS National Championship Game was played between Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers.
Throughout all four quarters, Alabama proved to be the dominate team, but not by touchdowns. Instead, Alabama got in field goal range four times and Jeremy Shelley completed three field goals to give Crimson Tide a 9-0 lead by halftime.
Shelley had not only broken the record of two field goals in a championship game, but continued to give an incredible performance in the second half by scoring two more field goals, adding six more points to the Alabama's score.
