'GMA' Lunch Break: Pink Tea Cup chef Lawrence Page's bacon, egg and cheese waffle

"GMA" caught up with the Pink Tea Cup chef Lawrence Page at the New York City restaurant. Page, from WEtv's "Hustle & Soul," shared his recipe for a bacon, egg and cheese waffle. Watch the video for a step-by-step guide to make the brunch dish.

Ingredients

  • Waffle batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 4 tbsp. sugar
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 stick butter melted
  • Additional Ingredients
  • Eggs (2 eggs scrambled loosely, per waffle)
  • Bacon (2 bacon strips crumbled, per waffle)
  • Cheese (1/4 cup cheddar cheese shredded, per waffle)
  • Toppings:
  • Powdered sugar
  • Tabasco sauce
  • Maple syrup
  • Cooking Directions

    Mix waffle batter ingredients together.

    Cook bacon first to crisp.

    Cook scrambled eggs, loose.

    Pour mixed waffle batter (1 cup) on the waffle maker.

    Add eggs and bacon and cheese on top of the waffle batter.

    Close the machine and let the waffle cook for 3 minutes until machine beeps.

    Garnish with maple syrup and powdered sugar, or Tabasco sauce!
