    <b>Steve Foley</b> <p> Linebacker Steve Foley of the San Diego Chargers was shot by an off-duty police officer after a high-speed car chase on the morning of Sept. 3, 2006. Cops said he was driving erratically, and at speeds in excess of 90 mph. On May 3, 2007, Foley pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor DUI and was given five years' probation. Meanwhile, the shooting injured Foley in the knee, hip and hand, and he was subsequently released from the Chargers.
