— -- Alex Cambert joined ABCNEWS' Good Morning America as a correspondent in July 2002. Cambert reports on entertainment and lifestyle feature stories for Good Morning America, from his base in Los Angeles.

Cambert has interviewed Mike Myers and Anna Nicole Smith since joining Good Morning America.

Before joining Good Morning America, Cambert was the senior entertainment correspondent for Telemundo's award-winning nighttime entertainment magazine, Edicion Especial. He interviewed some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Madonna, Robin Williams and Tom Hanks.

In his four years at Telemundo, Cambert made his mark as both a producer and host of original network specials, including the popular Silla Caliente segments. He has received two Emmys and been nominated for a prestigious Imagen Award for his work in Spanish television. In addition, another Cambert project, Noche de Estrellas, marked the first time that Spanish-language television in the United States was broadcast live from the Academy Awards.

In April 2000 Cambert hosted the Billboard Latin Music Awards. He also co-hosted ABC's pre-Emmy broadcast, Countdown to the Emmys, that same year. In addition, he hosted Amazing Tails on Discovery's sister network, Animal Planet. More recently he developed a half-hour sitcom for NBC based on his autobiographical one man show, One Flew Over the Cuban's Nest.

Cambert resides in Los Angeles. He holds a B.A. degree from Carleton College in Northfield, Minn.
