Aug. 11, 2007 — -- Amnesiac American Jason Bourne and sophisticated Brit James Bond have identical initials and similar good looks.

But while James Bond and Jason Bourne have both tackled the box office with great success, the two movie spies have very different styles.

"I'd rather crack one open with Bond, but Bourne has my back at the end of the day," one movie goer said.

Whereas Bond is all Armani, with tailored suits and a polished style, Bourne is more Old Navy, opting for the more causal look for his butt kickings.

Bond is never without a stiff drink and is known to like his martinis shaken not stirred. Bourne never seems to have time to stop for a beer on his quest to discover his past.

Then, there are the women.

"Bond has a different woman every film," one person said. "He's the man."

James Bond is portrayed as the ultimate ladies man, having courted women with names like Pussy Galore. However, Jason Bourne is monogamous.

Scottish actor Sean Connery was the first James Bond in the 1962 movie "Dr. No." Since then, there have been 20 additional films and five more 007s.

To contrast, Boston-bred Matt Damon is the only actor to play Bourne. The franchise dates back to 2002. The third installment, "The Bourne Ultimatum," debuted as no. 1 at the box office this week.
