Since joining "GMA," Sam Champion has logged more than 90,000 miles on the road. From wildfires in California to massive flooding in Ohio and hurricanes in Mexico, Sam has brought you up-to-the-minute reports on weather situations across the globe.
In addition to his weather reporting, Sam continues on "the green beat," with weekly "Just One Thing" reports offering information on how the country can be more energy efficient.
In 2006, Sam traveled to Paris for the global warming report that was released by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. He also reported live from the polar ice caps as part of the "Seven New Wonders of the World" series.
Since the current "GMA" anchor team debuted, it has traveled 315,688 miles. That's 12 times around the planet in one year, and the team's just warming up!
