why did you decide that the summer of 2014 is going to be it for you? It's time. You know, I want to leave when they say, why is she going? I want to leave when it's that question instead of is she still here? The other thing is that I -- somebody said to me if you announce you have another year you could get all of these interviews that you haven't been able to get. You thought about that. But the queen of england who does no interviews, well, maybe if she knows it's your last year. Barbara walters' last year -- she might. It could happen. I don't think so. All the years I've been with all of you and watched you all grow up. Oh, barbara, always like the first one when things were happening in nye family. We all got to look at everything you've done this all these years yesterday watching those reels when you look back -- the civil war -- when I did the civil war. That was the highlight. You were just a young cub then. When you look back at all that and putting it all together which one struck you and you said, boy, that's the business one? I think I'm going to name the former president of egypt, anwar sadat, first of all, I did so many interviews at that time with sadat and menachem begin -- to a degree, but I choose sadat because he changed the course of history and we still see all the turmoil, again, he was such a great leader in his way but because he changed had is tri, I think, you know, I do choose him. And to see the kind of remarkable person that she has turned out to be. It's hard to believe there isn't somebody that you've interviewed and you do have a year so the queen may be coming other than the queen then, who right now, who is still out there? Who is the get of all gets for you. There's no -- one of the things I'm not going to miss is trying to get the get. The queen has never done an interview. The pope has never done -- maybe this new pope will but, you know, there's always somebody -- there's always somebody new. You know, there's -- this is going -- there's always an alleged murderer and even they seem to have agents, don't they? You won't name names for the big get but do you have a plan to go out with a bang? Well, I don't want to go out -- once that old -- I don't want to go out with a whimper but we have a whole bunch of specials for abc news and we're going to do special things on "the view" and I do have another year which means I can come back here dozens of times. Any time you want. We just want to tell you how much we love you. I mean love you as a woman, as well as an incredible professional that changed this business. Amen. Amen. We love you and we'll get a
