A very special morning here at "Gma." We are celebrating the one, the only Barbara Walters, as she retires from just an incredible daily on-air career. Her final morning co-hosting "The view," coming up late it's been an unforgettable week as we come together to honor our Barbara. And we want to give you a behind-the-scenes look. It is a final show filled with laughs. You said, I wanted to do a show with women with different views. At the time, little did I know, that I would be surrounded by four cackling hens speaking over each other. Reporter: As you see in this preview. But make no mistake, Barbara Walters' last day on "The view," will be filled with emotion. Take a look at this incredible photo. A moment showing some of the most extraordinary women in journalism, who Barbara considers her legacy, showing up to say farewell, to surprise the first lady of "The view." She is the reason why I could walk the road that I did. Reporter: A hectic final morning. Everyone preparing to make Barbara's good-bye one for the ages. Barbara's whirlwind week started off with a bang. As ABC news headquarters was renamed in her honor. Next, she stopped by to visit fellow retiree to be, David Letterman. Let's walk into the sunset together. Okay. I think we just made a suicide pact. Reporter: All week long, Barbara's final days on "The view," were filled with memories and serenades. ? We will remember ? Reporter: And the stars were on full force Wednesday night for a party to toast the woman who changed television forever. Congratulations. Reporter: The nation's inquisitor in chief was definitely the bell of the ball. And then, a historic reunion on Thursday. With Barbara, holding court, as all of her former co-hosts on "The view," came back for a grand sendoff. This is like the last summer with Barbara. Reporter: There were, of course, some tears. I can't take all this. You are the best of the best. And it's been an honor and a pleasure. And it ain't over with us. Reporter: And as usual, Barbara had the last word. I have been honored to share this table with you. And what do we say now? Have a great day, everyone. And take a little time to enjoy "The view." She'll have a little more time for that. I just wanted to say I was thinking of you tonight. Tomorrow is a special day. You have impacted this world as very few can. This is a transition towards a new journey. I love you and wanted you to know how proud I am of you. This is the only time I cry. This is from my daughter. Oh. That's lovely.
