Throwback thursday will continue now with a very especial edition of "improve this." It's our series, where we turn outdated technology that you might have stored in attics or closets or basements, into new stuff. We have a lot of great ideas. We're going to start with old -- these are not floppy discs, are they? Yes. What can we do with floppy discs? With a drill and a lightbulb, you can make a pendant lamp. Half an hour, $10, maybe. Unbelievable. The bulb is right in there. Super easy to wire up. And this is actually very chic and modern. It looks like a little death star. Like darth vader. Old box tv sets. Old box computers, what a great way to reinvent, recycle, reuse. Tell me how you did it. We went from this clunky, old thing. TO THIS '90s PET GARDEN. A screwdriver, pair of pliers. Take the stuff out and spray paint. It's so cute. What a way to recycle. CDs ARE BECOMING OBSOLETE. But not in our world. Not when we want to "improve this." What do you want us to do here? I mean, how great is this? I love this as a room divider if you live in a small apartment. You can get these shower rings at any hardware store. All of this stuff is easy to find. And did you just drill little holes in them? You don't need a use a drill. But it's super easy when you get a hang of it. This light reflection, is very psychedelic. And finally, I love your inventive use of vhs tapes. We've all got them. And now, you're saying live with them. Look closely at danielle. Tell me about this. This is a crocheted sweater made from the tape from one vhs cassette. That's one movie. This is the length of one movie right here. And if you're not willing to commit to the full sweater look, you can mac accessories, as well. Let me look at your bracelet. You can take your vhs tape. My daughter are doing the bracelets right now. They're in. And there's another idea. All this, "improve this." Turn these pieces into great things. Go to goodmorningamerica.Com on yahoo!
