We've all, of course, seen Clint Eastwood save lives on the silver screen often in the middle of shootups. But when it came to a real life and death situation no guns were needed. No gun needed. And looked at Clint with his panicked look in nye face and he recognized I was not in a good situation and grabbed my shoulder and flipped me around and did the Heimlich maneuver on me for probably three different times. Reporter: The award-winning actor cold the Carmel pinecone newspaper I looked in his eyes and saw that look of panic people when they see their lives passing before their eyes. It looked bad. He used to play and now serves chair of the foundation that hosts the pacific gas and electric company event raising more than $100 million for charity. Eastwood is actually the second person to save John from choking to death. The 50-year-old said someone had to give him the Heimlich maneuver seven years ago. The man's got to know his limitati limitations. Reporter: As for dirty harry he says it was his first time performing the Heimlich. Good for John he caught a friendlier version of the Eastwood we're used to seeing. John says his phone has been blowing up with friends calling him to teasing him. Eastwood finds it funny as well.
