Reporter: Hey, bianna, some of us dream of living high on the hog but according to Minnesota officials one couple ran an elaborate scheme to do just that and collect welfare and food stamps at the same time. A self-proclaimed lord and lady on the run. According to them, he's an heir to scottish nobility. Minnesota authorities accusing Andrea and colin Chisholm iii of defrauding the government by collecting over $167,000 in welfare, medical assistance, even food stamps, all the while allegedly living it up in this million dollar mansion. I'm sorry, lord and lady Chisholm iii are fraudsters of the first degree. Reporter: Investigators say a major scam, rivaling that of the movie "American hustle." Lady Edith, so good to see you. These are the roles that we states at the same time. In 2005 authorities say they started receiving public assistance after claiming they were living with Andrea's mom in Minneapolis. According to investigators, they were instead living on this $1.2 million yacht in Florida. These rich folks ripped off the system. Reporter: Though the chisholms at one point claim they only had $80 to their name the criminal complaint tallies up millions going into bank accounts and a spending habit that including $23,000 worth of plane ticks, cell phone bills and fine dining in just one month. Reporter: The fraud charges typically carry probation as the sentence but in a unique move the state attorney is seeking an upward departure to get them jail time.
