Transcript for Elf on the Shelf Clarification; Seattle Zoo's Lion Cubs
"Pop news" time, lara. And I see our elf over your shoulder. We'll do everything we can to avoid the wrath. He has his name. He has the magic. We want to be sure everybody knows we were talking about him before he had his magic. We had not yet adopted him or named him. We have, now, according to the legend of the elf on a shelf, you -- the elf does not have magic until you adopt him and name him. And then, you cannot move him. You cannot touch him. We were talking about touching him and moving him. That's before. Scottie, stay away. Nobody touch gary. He has his magic. And he's watching very, very closely. Everybody -- so, the elf has a name, now. So, don't touch him. We have a dodopted him. We've named him gary. Now that gary has an identity and has been adopted, every night he goes back to the north pole. And he will tell if anyone has been naughty or nice. And then, he comes back every morning to a different location. That's right. So, all of us need to be on our BEST Ps AND Qs. Gary's watching. Yes. In other "pop news" this morning, let's keep in the holiday theme, shall we? The white house holiday decorations, wow. Just made us smile. They were unveiled yesterday by first lady michelle obama. They included a massive gingerbread replica of the white house. That's gorgeous. Complete, with an oversized version of bo. And bo is a recuring theme this year. There's also a massive life-sized replica of bo, with a string of lights hanging out of his mouth. I don't know if that's indicative of bo's personality. And there were 40 bo-flake ornaments all over the white house hidden. They're adorable. And the first dog himself made an appearance at the festivities and quickly, became, of course, the center of attention. It is officially holiday time, once we see those decorations. Finally, everybody, more good news. Seattle's woodland park zoo has its own holiday miracle. Four baby lion cubs. The typical litter is two cubs. The 3-week-olds just passed their first medical examines with flying colors. And there's two girls and two boys. Not named yet. And we can't visit just yet. They're too little. That's "pop news."
