adventure got a lot more than they bargained for while trekking through the so-called corridor of death. A massive snow hit them and fear hi wiped them up president our Clayton Sandell reports. Reporter: An incredible moment captured on camera. Guys, guys, guys. Reporter: Patrick Sweeney and his two kids, 11-year-old Shannon and 9-year-old P.J. On mount blank. The highest peak in the ams. It was pretty scared. It seemed like it came fast. I felt like an antelope being ripped down by a lion at the waist. Reporter: He said his kids wanted to join him. We came up with the idea for setting a world record for the youngest boy and girl to climb mount blanc. Reporter: A mountain known as the white killer. When the pamly set out, things took a dramatic turn when they reached a point the locals call the corridor of death. I heard P.J. Scream. Then Shannon. I thought, I have to bury my ice ax and create an anchor. I was stuck. Shannon and I were on each other. It was hard to get up at first. Reporter: With the held of a few experienced climbers nearby, the rescue was over in just a few minutes. It went from this immediate rushing fanatical, just frenetic experience to be calm. Reporter: He's putting climbing behind her now. I'm going to climb it nest year. Not the hold a record but to have fun and do it. My friends and family will still be proud.
