Reporter: Superstars getting super soaked with bucks of ice water challenging others to do the same. In a move many that's going viral all part of a wet wake-up call to raise money and awareness for als or Lou Gehrig's disease, a paralyzing and deadly disease with no known cure. We're trying to use this momentum to get the word out. Reporter: The disease robbed former Boston college baseball captain Pete Frates of his ability to walk and talk. He and his wife Julie co-created the als ice bucket challenge with friend and fellow als patient pat Quinn. Hi, pat.
