the mysterious death of a teenage actress. Her mother discovered her dead in her bedroom a day after a cast party. But there's so few clues to how it happened. Rob nelson has the latest. Reporter: Good morning, george. She was an actress, a musician and a college student that dreamed of one day becoming a teacher. But now, she's at the center of a bizarre murder mystery and that has baffled police and left her parents devastated. This morning, the small town of hartford, wisconsin, is desperately searching for answers in the mysterious death of a young performer. Ripped from her family by a shocking murder, with few clues. I love her to death. I'm going to miss her forever. Reporter: Charles and his wife are coming to terms with the death of their 19-year-old daughter, jessie, whose body was FOUND JULY 15th. A musician and an aspiring actress. Jessie was starring in a community produkction of "fiddler on the roof." We have begun to develop some feelings of what we think happened. That's made things easier. But we have to be patient. Reporter: Jessie's mother said after coming home from a cast party about 1:00 a.M., jessie went to bed alone. At 8:00 a.M., Her mom brought clothes in before she went to work. Four hours later, she discovered her lifeless body. They sow signs of strangulation on her neck. After a thorough search, detectives were unable to determine the murder weapon. Police have a search warrant to comb through phone records and jessie's facebook account, where you can still find praise and encouragement from her family and fans. One of the other things i feel jessie wants me to say is that love is stronger than hate and always will be. And bad stuff happens. But love will win out. Reporter: There is still no official cause of death. Authorities say they are awaiting toxicology results. That can take four to six weeks. Let's bring dan abrams back right now. Maybe the toxicology tests will help. There's a definitive time line here. The fact that they know that she came back to the house, the mother sees her return 1:00 a.M. The mother then goes into the bedroom. We don't know if she sees her, whether she's alive or not at 8:00 a.M. Doesn't check. Doesn't check. And finds later at about noon that she's dead. You know she's in the house. So, if something happened in the house, you would have expected, of course, maybe there would have been noise. Something heard by the family. Not always the case when something like this happens. And having that time line will be important. And I think that's going to focus the investigators on someone that she knew. They do seem to have some clue as to what happened. Some theory. Well, they believe she was -- there was a ligature mark on her neck. You heard hints of we kind of know what happened here. We suspect what happened here. But it hasn't come out yet. And I think that's very telling. I would expect in the next couple of days, that we're going to learn a lot more about this investigation. This does not sound like it's going to be one of these cases where it goes unsolved. For weeks or months. Do you have a gut feeling about this one? I think it's going to be someone she knew. And that's because she's cases tend to be like that. Particularly when you talking about a ligature strangulation, at her parents' home.
