Switching gears now, to the latest on kate middleton. Out of the hospital and expected to be home and resting through the christmas holidays. Prince charles is speaking out for the first time about becoming a grandfather and about the radio deejays that prank called kate's hospital, one pretending to be him. Llaama hasan has the latest from london. Good morning, lama. Reporter: Good morning, elizabeth. Kate woke up at kensington palace, her london home. It's not sure when she'll be back to wales, where she shares a cottage with william. Or when she will go back to her royal duties. After being released from the hospital on thursday, and telling reporters she is feeling better, the duchess is finally resting at home with william. But william will have to leave his wife and go solo to an event this weekend, and may have to head back to wales for his military duties. For the first time since kate was hospitalized, prince charles has broken his silence, making his first comments about his darling daughter-in-law, as he likes to call kate. I'm glad she's better. Thank goodness. Reporter: He even found a moment to crack a joke about that infamous prank call. As you know, I'm not a radio station. When is a good time to come I would suggest anytime after 9:00 would be suitable because the doctor will be in the morning. And when are you going to walk those bloody corgis? Reporter: And charles, normally known for being more stuffy than sentimental, spoke about his excitement about being a grandpa. It's nice thought of grandfather. Reporter: As a military war ceremony last night, prince charles paid tribute to his son, saying he worries when they're on active duty. And with prince harry fighting on the front lines of afghanistan, prince charles says, he calls me every now and then. And I persuaded him to write me a letter.
