INTERVIEW WITH LeANN RIMES, WITH Katie couric. Life after treatment for stress and anxiety. And holding back tears as she talks about her road to recovery. I feel like I have the opportunity to start all over again. Like, okay. We're going to take a moment. We're going to pause. Reporter: For leann rimes, turning 30 this past august was a pivotal time. A time for reflection and healing. , She voluntarily entered an inpatient treatment facility for one month, the day after her birthday. Why did you seek treatment? I'm reading stress, anxiety. She has an eating disorder. She has drug or alcohol It was so simple and so complicated. It was simple as I was unhappy and stressed and wanting to live a happier life and joyful life. Reporter: Along with seeking TREATMENT, LeANN WELCOMED THE New decade with a 30th birthday bash, that was a bon voyage to HER 20s. Your cakes didn't have the traditional happy bi, LeANN. ONE SAID, DIE 20s, DIE. R.I.P., REST IN PEACE, 20s. Were they really that bad? Y were interesting. It definitely had its challenges. But there were a lot of life LESSONS IN MY 20s, FOR SURE. Reporter: Life lessons that included learning the delicate balance of living her private life in the public eye. Especially the extramarital affair with her husband. You got married last year. How is married life treating you? It's good. I have a great partner in crime. He's a sweetheart. He's kind and loving to me. You know, we have two, wonderful kids of his half the time. And I love them. I love them. I really do. Reporter: Her other love is still music. A new album called "spitfire" will be released this spring. She's co-written eight of the songs. And she's telling anyone who will listen exactly what she feels. I really have to take a stand for myself and be who I am. ♪ I can show you how it goes we could have a little fun ♪ that voice.
