Transcript for Louisiana Tornado Survival Caught on Tape
astonishing piece of video that sam showed you thursday. It shows a tornado down in louisiana, scooping up a truck, tossing it on to a nearby car. What we didn't know then is someone was inside the pickup. As abc abc's rob nelson is about to show us, that driver, by some miracle, survived. Reporter: Look closely. The tiny speck floating across this gas station surveillance video is actually a massive ford pickup truck. The truck started bouncing. Reporter: While you can't see him, jerry millet is inside, on the ride of his life. I'm thinking, I'm dead. I see all of this. But I'm really dead. Reporter: Millet was making deliveries in gonzales, louisiana, monday, when a tornado blew through, flattening sections of this firestation, before sending his truck airborne. You see the wind swing millet into the sky, swirling him several times. Smashing him on to a truck nearby. I could feel I was rolling and rocking. ter: THIS WOMAN WAS Driving in the opposite direction. She saw millet take flight and then race to his rescue. I immediately jumped out of the truck. Are you okay? Reporter: And while it may seem impossible to believe millet survived, there's a more amazing twist. That good samaritan is his daughter. It's my baby girl. When I look up, here she come awalking. He was like, how did you get here? How did you know? I seen the whole thing happen. Reporter: This morning, millet's delivery truck is totaled. But he is on the mend. Still unable to believe that he was delivered home alive. For "good morning america," rob nelson, abc news, new york.
