Now, the challenge is to keep the momentum g.Ores doing that? They're extending hours, making it easier for shoppers to come and buy merchandise. Macy's, open 48 hours the weekend before christmas. Target, open until 9:00 p.M. On christmas eve. And right across the street at toys "r" us, for three weeks they're opened 24 hours around the clock. This is good for the shoppers and for the economy that more temporary jobs will be added. 619,000 jobs were created in october and november alone. That's up since last year. And up 19% from last year. Nearly to a 2000 high.
